Water Industry

In line with GUH’s strategy to diverse its income base, the Group made its foray into the water and wastewater industry by acquiring a reputable local player in 2012. Such acquisition will enable the Utilities Division to position itself as a significant player in the local and regional water/wastewater industry.

The Division provides full-fledged services and solutions to all private companies and municipalities which include but is not limited to engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants and related ancillary projects.

The Division is focusing on expanding its geographical coverage to include growing economies in the ASEAN countries with the aim to procure more contracting and concessionary projects.

Continued and rising demand for clean and uncontaminated water, which is getting scarce, will augur well for the industry in the long run. Premised on this, GUH expects the contribution from the Division to increase in the future and help to improve and stabilize the earnings stream of the Group.

What We Do

Customers benefit from our expertise from start to finish. We employ various techniques for renovations, upgrades and construction of new water and wastewater treatment plants as well as pumping stations, reservoirs and pipelines. We work under a variety of different contracting methods including Build-Transfer (BT) and Build- Operate-Transfer (BOT).
